How to select product(s) and add to Shopping CART
Just like in a physical store, eTrade Direct provides you with a 'Shopping CART' for you to gather anything you'd like to purchase as you browse through our product area checking out the products on offer.
Then when you're ready to purchase a product that you're looking at on screen, simply type in the Amount (quantity) you'd like and click 'Add to cart'.
The quantity you specified of that item will then be added to your 'Virtual Shopping CART', which you can continue to add to as you browse through all other products. Any items you choose will remain in your Shopping CART where ever else you decide to go on the etrade Direct site.
How to view product(s) in your Shopping CART
Keep in mind, at any time you can view what you have selected to place in your Shopping CART' by simply selecting the 'View cart' option in the CART menu that's always visible on the right hand side of your screen.
This displays a window that will show all of the items you've selected to purchase by adding to your 'Shopping CART' - and the total Australian dollar value including GST.
You can also easily remove anything from your 'Shopping CART' if you change your mind - just like you could in a real store. Simply 'click' on the quantity value of the product you wish to remove, change to 0 (zero) then 'click' on 'Update'. The item will then be removed from your ‘Shopping CART’.
And of course if you'd like to add more items, just go back into the product area and continue shopping.
How to Checkout and pay
When you're ready to 'check-out' and pay, all you have to do is select the 'View cart' option from the main menu, complete the mandatory (denoted with an *) ‘Customer information' fields, and then ‘click’ continue.
Once you've done that, choose the payment option that suits you and fill-in all the payment details - following the instructions provided.
Your Payment options
The easiest option for payment is to use your credit card over the internet - by filling in all details when you 'check out'. We accept two major forms of credit cards: Mastercard and Visacard.
Please Note: To enhance security - and guard against the possibility of credit card fraud - your transaction and credit card number is actually entered on a secure Payment Page that is hosted by Paypal.
eTrade Direct does not record, hold or transmit any of your credit card information when you purchase using a card over the internet.
You can also use Paypal for your purchases to transfer funds from your bank account directly to eTrade Direct. Paypal is the globally recognized facility used by ebay and many other online stores to provide a secure and flexible platform to make online shopping even safer and easier.
We encrypt all of your personal information so that it cannot be read as it travels over the internet, protecting against credit card fraud.

Shopping at www.etradedirect.com.au is safe. The Paypal server we utilise to process your purchase online encrypts your credit card number so that no one else can read it.
Why is it safe to shop online at etrade Direct
We encrypt all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.
Our server software provides a secure connection between you and the server, so any information sent to and from the server will be encrypted.

We've done our best to make delivery as easy and cost effective for you as possible. Although there is a delivery charge involved in shopping with etradedirect.com.au, we believe that that you will in fact save money - not to mention your time and energy - by shopping via the internet.
If you've ever added up how much it costs you in transport or petrol and parking to go shopping, we're sure you'll understand.
Delivery times and costs will differ depending on whether you choose to have your purchases delivered Standard or Express.

How are my purchases delivered
eTrade Direct arranges delivery of your purchases using Australia Post's eParcel facility ensuring your purchase is delivered as quickly and safely as possible. You will also be allocated an eParcel tracking reference number at the time of your purchase so you can monitor the progress of your delivery.
Where should my purchase be delivered to
It's important to give eTrade security a delivery address where someone will usually be between 9am and 5pm to sign for the package. If you work, it's a good idea to give us your work address rather than your home address.
When will my purchase arrive
You should allow 7 for Standard delivery of your purchases although you will generally receive your products within 5 working days depending upon the time of purchase and your delivery address.

What will the delivery cost be
Delivery charges at etradedirect.com.au are as follows:
Within Australia only - Via Australia Post eParcel facility. You will receive an eParcel tracking reference number when you place your order which you can use to monitor the progress of the delivery. Delivery costs via Australia Post eParcel will be calculated and applied at the time of your purchase. eTrade Direct simply adds the cost of the delivery to your purchase.
Please note delivery costs may vary according to location. If a higher postage rate applies in your area, you will be notified via email.
